Philosophy

The head teacher wishes to serve you by providing your child with a secure and accepting atmosphere in a stimulating environment. This program provides experiences that enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creative development. Within the center’s daily schedule, each child has opportunities to create, explore the environment, learn problem-solving and personal interaction skills, and learn concepts through firsthand experiences. Children develop a positive self-concept through a balance of self-directed and teacher-directed activities. Opportunities for solitary play as well as group activities are provided. The staff serves as role models and provides care that is supportive, nurturing, warm, and responsive to each child’s individual needs. We respect families as the primary nurturers, and we believe parents and teachers are partners in children’s care and education.

The goal is to provide a loving, safe and caring atmosphere where your child may develop feelings of self worth and self-esteem. Children are treated as individuals. Developmentally appropriate goals are drawn up with the help of the parent or legal guardian. By following close progress and observation of each individual child, the teacher assesses this progression and developmental growth. This program utilizes engaging hands-on experiences to promote greater learning possibilities. The teacher works to inspire the children’s imagination and creativity. The framework of the philosophy of this facility is the following:
